Job summary

Ministry of Justice (New Zealand) is seeking a Test Lead on a fixed-term basis in Wellington CBD to support Te Au Reka’s digital transformation of court processes. You will define testing strategies, lead a testing team, and ensure governance across multiple workstreams.

You will drive acceptance testing within Agile delivery, oversee interoperability and API integrations, and coach a high-performing team while building strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading testing functions in large organisations.
• Experience delivering testing strategy, planning and governance across multiple workstreams.
• Strong experience with acceptance testing in Agile delivery environments.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing testing teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement testing strategies, plans, and approaches that support successful programme delivery.
• Lead and develop a team of Test Analysts and Test Engineers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative testing culture.
• Establish testing governance, manage risks and issues, and ensure testing activities align with best practices and quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams, providing clear communication on testing progress, outcomes, and risks.
