Job summary

The Ministry of Justice in Wellington CBD is seeking a Test Engineer on a fixed-term basis to Mar 2029. You will work with frontline teams, vendors and the Te Au Reka program to ensure solutions meet requirements and are fit for purpose.

You will plan, execute and report testing activities, lead automated testing initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and service delivery across the project.

Qualifications

• Proven test engineering experience in large and complex environments.
• Experience implementing automated testing at unit/system/acceptance levels in Agile delivery.
• Collaborative approach with BAs, developers and stakeholders to design testing solutions.
• Experience applying risk-based testing and validating features with Product/Service Managers.
• Ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical information to varied audiences.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, with ongoing professional development.
• Relevant industry, technical and/or professional certifications.
