Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Auckland seeks a capable QA/Testing professional to drive functional, integration, and regression testing. You will collaborate with BAs, SMEs, and offshore teams to clarify requirements, design test scenarios, and ensure comprehensive coverage across Billing, Sales & Pricing, and Meter Data Management.

The role emphasizes automation feasibility, rigorous defect triage, and adherence to testing standards within an Agile/hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Strong functional testing expertise across analysis, execution, and closure.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr).
• Good understanding of data models and integration testing.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, including offshore teams.
• Experienced in Agile, hybrid, and BAU/steady-state testing environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyse BAU change requests, user stories, and fixes; assess testing impact.
• Collaborate with BAs and SMEs to clarify requirements.
• Design and execute test scenarios and cases for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Ensure test coverage across key business areas (Billing, Sales & Pricing, Meter Data Management).
• Execute manual testing, validate end‑to‑end flows, and confirm acceptance criteria.
• Log, track, retest defects, and participate in defect triage and resolution.
• Communicate test progress, risks, and status to stakeholders.
• Maintain regression suites and support production validation during releases.
• Contribute to automation feasibility and ensure adherence to testing standards.
