Job summary

Iplex Pipelines NZ is seeking a Territory Manager to drive sales across the Auckland region, from Kaikohe to Bombay. You will grow sales, manage pricing, orders, renewals, and promotions, while delivering excellent service to customers.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in plumbing/building sectors, strong negotiation and relationship skills, and a proven track record of meeting sales targets. A salary package with an incentive scheme is offered, plus company vehicle and tech gear.

Iplex Pipelines NZ is a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic pipeline systems in New Zealand. We manufacture and supply pipeline systems for a diverse range of applications covering water supply, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, rural, energy, communications, and industrial. Iplex has manufacturing facilities throughout NZ, enabling high service levels to our customers and dedicated markets.

About the Role

As a Territory Manager in our infrastructure segment, you will play a key role in driving sales across the wider Auckland region, covering Kaikohe in Northland through to Bombay. You will be responsible for developing and executing plans to grow sales and market share while delivering exceptional service to our customers. Day to day you will be responsible for:

• Partnering with our core merchants, to provide seamless end-to-end service from securing the business through to delivery.
• Achievement of sales budgets and plans, encompassing pricing negotiations, order management, contract renewals, promotions etc.
• Deliver product training presentations and merchandising resources to support our channel partners.
• Understand market dynamics and identify opportunities for sales growth with current and new partners.

About You

We’re seeking a sales professional who is adept at becoming a trusted business partner, understands our clients and can provide practical solutions that add value. Operating in a similar role, you will have sales and technical expertise, and of course a visible passion for what you do, demonstrated through:

• Preferably 3–5 years’ experience within the plumbing, building, or related industries.
• Strong influencing and negotiation capabilities, with the ability to communicate value and align solutions with customer needs.
• Exceptional relationship building and customer service skills, with a natural ability to engage and connect with people.
• Proven sales capability, including revenue management and a track record of consistently achieving sales targets.
• Demonstrated business acumen, with strengths in planning, forecasting, key account management, and effective CRM utilisation.
• A solid understanding of pricing strategy and margins, with confidence in interpreting margin performance to support effective decision making.
