Job summary

Iplex Pipelines NZ, part of Fletcher Building, is seeking a Compliance & IMS Specialist to maintain and align our HSQE systems to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001. You will develop programs, run audits, and train staff to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across Health, Safety, and Environment functions.

The role can be based in Palmerston North, Christchurch or Auckland and requires independent work as well as strong collaboration with cross-functional teams within Iplex and

Qualifications

• Experience in ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001.
• Experience in AS/NZS 17025 in a manufacturing space.
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, OHS, and/or equivalent experience in leading quality management systems.
• Advanced Lead Auditing accreditation/certification.
• Experience with the Microsoft suite and a wide range of technology and systems such as Radar and SharePoint.
• Proven experience in compliance management and IMS.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage current Iplex HSQE systems, policy and procedures to align to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
• Develop and maintain compliance programs for Health, Quality and Environmental IMS.
• Conduct regular internal and external audits and assessments.
• Monitor and adapt to local regulatory changes and updates.
• Provide training and support to staff on compliance and IMS matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve EHSQ practices and processes.

Iplex Pipelines NZ is a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic pipeline systems in New Zealand. We manufacture and supply pipeline systems for a diverse range of applications covering water supply, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, rural, energy, communications, and industrial. Iplex has manufacturing facilities throughout NZ, enabling high service levels to our customers and dedicated markets.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Due to an internal transfer, we are recruiting for a Compliance & IMS Specialist who will maintain and manage the Iplex Integrated Management Systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards. This role can be based in Palmerston North, Christchurch or Auckland and will manage company processes and systems, contributing to business management and measuring performance, including Health, Safety, and Environment functions across the company. Key Responsibilities include:

• Manage the current Iplex documented HSQE systems, policy and procedures to ensure alignment to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs for our Health, Quality, and Environmental Information Management System (IMS), as well as supporting sustainability initiatives.
• Conduct regular internal and external audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Monitor and adapt the company for any local legislative and regulatory changes/updates/guidelines/policy/ procedure changes.
• Provide training and support to staff on compliance and IMS-related matters.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in EHSQ practices and processes, to enhance safety, product quality and customer satisfaction.

ABOUT YOU:

• Experience in ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001.
• Experience in AS/NZS 17025 in a manufacturing space.
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, OHS, and/or equivalent experience in leading quality management systems.
• Advanced Lead Auditing accreditation/certification.
