Job summary

Iplex Pipelines NZ is seeking a Territory Manager based in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty region to drive sales with distributors, contractors and customers across rural infrastructure. You will develop and execute plans to grow market share and deliver exceptional service.

You will partner with core merchants, deliver training, manage pricing and margins, and identify opportunities while maintaining strong relationships across the region.

Qualifications

• Preferably 3–5 years' experience within the rural infrastructure sector.
• Strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.
• Exceptional relationship building and customer service skills.
• Proven sales capability including revenue management and achieving sales targets.
• Strong business acumen with planning, forecasting, and key account management.
• Solid understanding of pricing strategy and margins.

Responsibilities

• Partner with core merchants to provide end-to-end service from securing the business through to delivery.
• Achieve sales budgets and plans, including pricing negotiations, order management, contract renewals, promotions.
• Deliver product training presentations and merchandising resources for channel partners.
• Understand market dynamics and identify opportunities for sales growth with current and new partners.

Iplex Pipelines NZ is a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic pipeline systems in New Zealand. We manufacture and supply pipeline systems for a diverse range of applications covering water supply, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, rural, energy, communications, and industrial. Iplex has manufacturing facilities throughout NZ, enabling high service levels to our customers and dedicated markets.

About The Role

Based in the Waikato region, you will be working with our distributors, contractors and customers across the rural sector predominantly in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. As a Territory Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales and will be responsible for developing and executing plans to grow sales and market share while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

• Partnering with our core merchants, to provide seamless end-to-end service from securing the business through to delivery.
• Achievement of sales budgets and plans, encompassing pricing negotiations, order management, contract renewals, promotions etc.
• Deliver product training presentations and merchandising resources to support our channel partners.
• Understand market dynamics and identify opportunities for sales growth with current and new partners.

About You

The New Zealand market is dynamic and fast-paced requiring exceptional relationship building skills from frontline to boardroom. We're seeking a sales professional who is adept at becoming a trusted business partner, understands our clients and can provide practical solutions that add value. Operating in a similar role, you will have sales and technical expertise, and of course a visible passion for what you do, demonstrated through:
