ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join a top-tier civil contractor delivering major infrastructure projects in Auckland. The role focuses on coordinating temporary works design and delivery across complex projects, acting as a technical link between project teams and designers.

Based in Auckland, this permanent full-time position offers exposure to major infrastructure programs and opportunities to work with specialist temporary works designers to ensure

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• 5+ years as Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Structural Engineer, Temporary Works Engineer or Temporary Works Coordinator.
• Strong technical background in structures, bridges, heavy civil or temporary works.
• Experience with temporary works design, construction methodologies or structural engineering.
• Good understanding of constructability and site requirements.
• Excellent communication and coordination between site teams and designers.
• Strong organisational skills and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate temporary works requirements between project teams and internal/external designers.
• Work with Project Engineers and site teams to ensure briefs reflect project requirements.
• Liaise with temporary works designers to ensure designs are practical and fit for purpose.
• Coordinate and track designs to meet timeframes.
• Prioritise design requirements based on project sequencing and construction needs.
• Review designs against project requirements and coordinate queries, revisions, and changes.
• Identify temporary works requirements early in construction.
• Ensure designs integrate with construction methodologies and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate temporary works requirements between project teams and internal/external designers
• Work with Project Engineers and site teams to ensure temporary works briefs are clearly prepared and accurately reflect project requirements
• Liaise with temporary works designers to ensure designs are practical, constructible, and fit for purpose
• Coordinate and track temporary works designs to ensure they are delivered within required timeframes
• Prioritise design requirements based on project sequencing and construction needs
• Review designs against project requirements and coordinate technical queries, revisions, and changes
• Work closely with project teams to identify temporary works requirements early in the construction process
• Ensure temporary works designs integrate effectively with construction methodologies and project delivery requirements

What You Bring

• Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Structural Engineer, Temporary Works Engineer, or Temporary Works Coordinator
• Strong technical background in structures, bridges, heavy civil, or temporary works
• Experience working with temporary works design, construction methodologies, or structural engineering
• Strong understanding of constructability and site requirements
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively between site teams and designers
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple design requirements and priorities
