Job summary

Westlake Boys High School is seeking a Technology teacher to join the Design and Innovation Faculty from Term 1, 2027. The position is full-time and permanent, with a start date of 28 January 2027.

The successful candidate will teach Hard Materials and/or Robotics, inspiring students through practical and engaging learning experiences. Applicants must be NZ registered, fully conversant with the NZ Curriculum, and have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Qualifications

• Must hold NZ teacher registration and be familiar with the NZ Curriculum.
• Ability to teach Hard Materials and/or Robotics with practical, engaging methods.
• Experience in secondary education and governance under the STCA.

• Deliver Hard Materials and/or Robotics across Years 7–15.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teacher's Collective Agreement (STCA) 2025–2027.

The base salary for trained and registered teachers currently ranges from NZD64,119 to NZD107,886.00, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience.

Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by asalary assessment by Education Payrollonce a role is confirmed.
