Job summary

Waitākere College in Auckland invites applications for a full-time permanent role as Teacher of Engineering and Hard Materials. You will teach Engineering Workshop and Hard Materials to secondary students (Years 7–15 and wharekura) and contribute to a dynamic Technology faculty.

The ideal candidate will have NZ Teaching Certification, experience with the Technology curriculum and Unit Standards, and participate in the college's PD programme (RBL). Extracurricular involvement is encouraged.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and creative teacher to join our vibrant Technology team at Waitākere College in 2027.

The ideal applicant will have experience and skills in teaching Engineering Workshop and Hard Materials and have a good understandingof the current Technology curriculum and workshop Unit Standards. This could be an employment-based trainee teacher possibility. Otherwise please state your NZ Teaching Certification Registration Number and Category.

The successful candidate will have confidence and capabilities with technology, be an active participant in our Professional Development Programme including Relationship Based Learning (RBL). There is an expectation of involvement in extracurricular activities on offer at the College.
