Job summary

Momentum Consulting Group in Auckland seeks an experienced Technology Portfolio Manager to own a significant portfolio of digital and technology initiatives within a large, complex organisation. This senior leadership role blends portfolio management, delivery, strategic planning and people leadership.

You will drive roadmaps, governance and adoption across multiple programmes while leading and developing a delivery team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years’ experience across programme, portfolio or complex project delivery.
• Strong experience delivering digital systems, applications and technology initiatives.
• Proven people leadership experience, including leading and developing delivery teams.
• Strong portfolio governance, financial, risk and dependency management capability.
• Experience partnering with senior executives, sponsors and steering groups.

Technology Portfolio Manager | Permanent | Auckland

We’re looking for an experienced Technology Portfolio Manager to take ownership of a significant portfolio of digital and technology initiatives within a large, complex organisation.

This is a senior leadership role combining portfolio management, technology delivery, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and people leadership.

About The Role

Working closely with senior business and technology leaders, you’ll take ownership of your respective digital portfolio from roadmap development and prioritisation through to governance, delivery and adoption. You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the delivery of multiple concurrent digital and technology programmes and projects.
• Partnering with senior business stakeholders to develop technology roadmaps and prioritise investment.
• Providing oversight of portfolio health, budgets, schedules, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Leading and developing a team of delivery professionals. Driving continuous improvement across delivery practices.
• Ensuring strong governance, reporting and visibility across the portfolio.
• Managing dependencies and alignment across programmes, projects and wider technology initiatives. Ensuring the right capability and capacity is in place.

• Proven people leadership experience, including leading and developing delivery teams.
• Strong portfolio governance, financial, risk and dependency management capability.
• Experience partnering with senior executives, sponsors and steering groups with the ability to influence, negotiate and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to connect technology investment with business outcomes.
