Job summary

AsureQuality in Auckland is seeking a Part-time Technician to join the Pathogens Team at our Lynfield Laboratory for a fixed term of 6 months. You will perform routine microbiological analyses on samples to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.

The role offers minimum 16 hours per week with a Saturday-Sunday roster. We value motivated team players with passion for microbiology, strong attention to detail, and good time management.

Qualifications

• BSc Microbiology or Food Science required.
• Experience in a similar environment (e.g., food production) is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Complete sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT).
• Strictly adhere to laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures.
• Ensure all records are kept up to date.

We are looking for a part time fixed term Technician to join our Pathogens Team based at our Lynfield Laboratory. Successful applicants will be responsible for carrying out Microbiological analysis on routine samples and ensure our customer's products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Your key duties will involve:

• Complete sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)
• Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures
• Ensure all relevant records are kept up to date at all times
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Participate and contribute to working safely
• Be actively involved in all the day to day improvement activities

Our laboratory is open 7 days a week and flexibility to work overtime at short notice is ideal. The roster on offer is Saturday and Sunday. The successful applicant will be working a minimum of 16 hours per week.
