Job Description

We are looking for a 6 month Fixed Term Technician to join ourMicrobiology Media Teambased at our Lynfield Laboratory. The successful applicant will be responsible for making media and reagents to supply our Microbiology laboratories.

You will need to have a good level of physical fitness and the ability to stand throughout your shift for this role.

Your key duties will involve:

• Complete sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)
• Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures
• Ensure all relevant records are kept up to date at all times
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Participate and contribute to working safely
• Be actively involved in all the day to day improvement activities

Our laboratory is open 7 days a week and flexibility to work overtime at short notice is ideal. The roster on offer includes working both weekend days. The successful applicant will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week.

About you:

Qualifications

BSc Food Science or Microbiology with experience working in a busy hospitality or frontline retail role is ideal.
