AsureQuality invites applications for a 6-month Fixed Term Microbiology Technician role based at our Lynfield Auckland laboratory. You will assist with sample preparation and media preparation, gaining hands-on experience in a commercial food testing laboratory during the dairy season.

Qualifications

• Be studying or have attained a BSc, with a focus on Microbiology or Food Science.
• Previous work experience in a fast paced environment beneficial (Hospitality or Retail).
• Team player able to remain focused while doing repetitive tasks and cope with changing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Microbiological Media and Reagents.
• Adherence to laboratory and regulatory QA procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date records.
• Keep work area clean and tidy.
• Flexibility to work additional days or overtime (lab operates 7 days a week).
