North Shore Motor Holdings Ltd Continental Cars BMW in Auckland is seeking an experienced Technician for their Wairau Valley Service Centre. You will work with factory trained technicians, using genuine BMW parts and diagnostic equipment. Hours 7am-6pm Mon-Fri, with 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am-1pm.

You should have a Level 4 Automotive Certificate or 3+ years of relevant experience, strong mechanical and electronic diagnostic skills, and good computer/communication abilities. WOF knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired to BMW and company standards.
• Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, driveshafts, and air conditioning servicing.
• Repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
• May inspect vehicles and issue WOF certificates or detail works required to obtain WOF.
• Inform foreman/manager of cost overruns and delays promptly.
• Support other technicians in the team with difficult work.

The role

Our Wairau Valley Service Centre is looking for an experienced Technician to join their busy workshop. With the use latest diagnostic technology, you are to ensure BMW vehicles are kept in top condition with only Genuine BMW parts and diagnostic equipment. You will be working closely with a team of factory trained technicians, and a foreman for support. Hours between 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday, with a rostered Saturday 1 in 4 from 9am - 1pm.

Key responsibilities

• Vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired to BMW and company standards
• Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing as per customer's requests
• Repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles such as the use of electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on areas such as batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems
• May inspect vehicles and issue WOF certificates or detail works required to obtain WOF certificate
• Ensure the service foreman/manager are advised of all cost overruns and delays in time to allow contact to be made with the customers
• Support the other technicians in the team with difficult work

To be successful

• Have a Level 4 Automotive Certificate or at least 3+ years of relevant experience
• Ideally be WOF certified
• Possess strong mechanical skills and electronic diagnostic experience
• Have a high level of computer and communication skills
• Have a strong attention to detail
• Deliver a positive attitude and strong work ethic
