Job summary

The NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is seeking a Regulatory Advisor for Safer Vehicles to provide expert guidance on regulatory queries and approvals. You will build and maintain essential relationships with internal teams, regulated parties, and key stakeholders to ensure consistent compliance outcomes and safer land transport.

Qualifications

• Relevant industry qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo Māori; understanding Te Tiriti o Waitangi in public sector.
• Experience advising on safety regulations and rule changes.
• Ability to influence and build credibility with stakeholders.
• Experience with risk-based decision making.
