Job summary

Carel is seeking a Technical Support and Project Delivery Engineer – Refrigeration in Penrose, Auckland. The role focuses on high-level pre- and post-technical support for refrigeration control systems and projects, including on-site commissioning and training across NZ.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience with Carel products, be proficient in AutoCAD, Case Suite and Stone platforms, and demonstrate strong CRM usage, communication, and problem-solving skills to

Qualifications

• Have a background in refrigeration having worked as either a system integrator or a refrigeration technician.
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with Carel products.
• Be proficient on Case Suite and Stone engineering platforms.
• Be proficient in Auto Cad.
• Proficiency in CRM software.
• Communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical clients.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and self-management abilities, capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Position: Technical support and project delivery engineer – Refrigeration

Location: Penrose, Auckland

Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Salary range: NZD $110,000 to $120,000 per annum

Minimum guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week

Days of work: Monday to Friday

Responsible To : Business Unit Manager - Refrigeration

Objectives : To provide a high level of pre and post technical and application support both internally and externally for the Company’s Refrigeration control systems and Projects

Responsibilities

Technical Support, software engineering, commissioning：

• Configuring (pre commissioning) controllers to Customers’ requirements as defined by the Company’s pre configuration policy.


• Inspect and report on failed controllers returned by Customers


• Provide prompt and reliable telephone support to customers, specifiers and users of the Company’s products


• In co-ordination with Business Unit Manager assist with development of support documentation for use of the Company’s products and maintaining the technical database across company platforms


• Provide on-site commissioning and fault finding of Company products, projects and services nationally


• At times conduct or assist with training on the Company’s products


• Configure / Customize the user interface on the company’s Supervisory Systems.


• Provide technical support and on boarding services for the company’s IOT solutions


• Assist Refrigeration team with product selection for quotes and tenders.


• Provide support and training to internal and external customers as required including project related management activities

Reporting and Business Planning

• Keep an up-to-date record of the field activities and customer database in the Company CRM tool


• Active participation in monthly meeting and contributing by sharing views, market intelligence and related information


• Update CRM database with call notes, comments, and feedback on proposals for future reference


• Participation with the Refrigeration Team and BU Manager in preparation and presentation of a comprehensive business plan and operating budgets, in accordance with company guidelines and timetable

Post Sales Project Liaison and Involvement

• Arrange on-site commissioning and training for customers. Document project functional description and handover to achieve timely project completion that exceeds customer expectations


• Liaise with customer as and when required to ensure smooth handover

Self-Development

• Participate in training programmes organized by the Company


• Identify training needs and liaise with BU Manager to schedule them

Promotion of Company Policies, Procedures and Culture

• Continually strive to improve the quality of our service to our customers.


• Conduct our business with an absolute passion for excellence.

Communication

• Weekly expense reports (if appropriate) .


• Maintain up-to-date files and reports on all customers using the company’s CRM software (ACT!).

Training

• Undertake and complete internal and external trainings as required by the company to ensure necessary competence in all aspects of the role. This also includes on-line training modules developed by suppliers.

• Maintain and present at all time personal standards and integrity that reflect favorably upon the Company.

Other Duties

• Assist other sales team members with product forums and exhibitions as required from time to time


• To assist in the planning and implementation of the marketing and sales of the Company's products and its abilities.


• As may be required from time to time, additional responsibilities and duties may be imposed on this position to support the company in other areas.
