Job summary

Iscar Plus is seeking a technical sales professional in Auckland to promote Mazak CNC machines and machine vision robotics across New Zealand. You will engage with manufacturers, engineers, production managers, and business owners to tailor CNC and automation solutions that improve productivity and uptime.

This role requires a strong CNC background, sales experience, and the credibility to engage with customers from shop floor to senior management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven sales experience in CNC machines, machine tools, automation, or similar capital equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining, including turning, milling, multi-tasking and/or 5-axis.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Sell and promote the full Mazak CNC machine range across New Zealand.
• Introduce manufacturers to machine vision robotics for automated CNC tending.
• Develop new business while growing and maintaining existing customer relationships.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and customer information in CRM systems.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Represent Iscar Plus professionally and build long-term customer relationships.

About the Role

This is a new position, created off the back of strong and sustained growth in demand for our Mazak CNC machine range. As demand continues to build, we’re expanding our sales team to support more customers and grow our presence across New Zealand.

Alongside representing Mazak CNC machines, you will also help take to market New Zealand’s premier machine vision robotics solution for CNC machine tending - an exciting and fast-growing area of manufacturing automation that is opening doors across the industry.

This is a genuine technical sales role. You will be working with manufacturers, engineers, production managers, and business owners to understand their needs and recommend CNC machine and automation solutions that help them improve productivity, reduce downtime, and operate more efficiently.

If you have a strong CNC background, a passion for sales, and the technical credibility to engage with customers from the shop floor through to senior management, this could be an excellent next step.

What You Will Be Doing

Selling and promoting the full Mazak CNC machine range, including turning centres, machining centres, multi-tasking and 5-axis solutions

Introducing manufacturers to machine vision robotics for automated CNC machine tending

Developing new business while growing and maintaining existing customer relationships

Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close

Maintaining accurate pipeline, activity, and customer information in our CRM/sales systems

Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations

Managing your own territory and pipeline across New Zealand

Working closely with our technical and service teams to deliver strong customer outcomes

Representing Iscar Plus professionally in the market and building long-term customer relationships

What We Are Looking For

3+ years of proven sales experience in CNC machines, machine tools, automation, or similar capital equipment

Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining, including turning, milling, multi-tasking and/or 5-axis

Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets

Ability to manage longer sales cycles and build trust through a consultative, technical sales approach

Confident communicator who can present, negotiate, and build trust at a senior level

Self-motivated and able to manage your own time, territory, and pipeline effectively

Full New Zealand driver’s licence

Preferred

Previous experience with Mazak or other high-end machine tool brands

Exposure to robotics, automation, or machine vision technology

Trade or engineering background in a machining or manufacturing environment

Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related technical field
