Job summary

Jora New Zealand Tauranga is seeking a Technical Salesperson with strong estimating skills to join our team and help price projects accurately while building lasting client relationships with builders, architects, designers and project managers. You will develop quotations, review plans, identify opportunities and collaborate with production to ensure projects are delivered on time and financially viable.

We're looking for an experienced Technical Salesperson with estimating skills to join our team and play a key role in both developing client relationships and preparing accurate project estimates.

About the Role

This is a varied role combining client relationship management, sales, and estimating. You'll work closely with builders, architects, designers, and project managers, providing technical advice, preparing quotations, and helping deliver successful projects from enquiry through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Identifying new business opportunities
• Reviewing plans and specifications
• Preparing detailed quotations and estimates
• Assisting with tender submissions
• Providing technical advice and product recommendations
• Working closely with production and operations teams
• Managing projects from enquiry through to handover
• Ensuring projects are accurately priced and commercially viable

About You

You may currently be working as a:

• Sales Consultant
• Construction Estimator
• Quantity Surveyor
• Interior Fit-Out Estimator
• Building Products Sales Representative
• Architectural Products Consultant
• Joinery Estimator
• Project Estimator

To succeed in this role you'll have:

• Experience within construction, interior fit-out, joinery, or architectural products
• Sales and account management skills
• The ability to interpret plans and specifications
• Strong estimating and quotation skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• A solutions-focused approach and strong attention to detail
• A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service
• Experience with estimating software or ERP systems would be advantageous, but is not essential.
