Job summary

Likemind is seeking an experienced Technical Lead for our public sector data warehousing environment in New Zealand. You will guide solution design, implement robust data pipelines, and drive technical decisions while remaining hands-on when needed.

The role requires leading DevOps teams, strong Python/PySpark/SQL skills, and experience with Databricks, Tableau, and Power BI to deliver scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading DevOps teams and data engineering squads.
• Proficient with Databricks platform including workflows, pipeline monitoring and optimisation.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.

Our public sector client is looking for an experienced Technical Lead within the Data Warehousing environment.

Day to day you will be guiding solution design, implementation and technical decision making. You will need to be able to take a hands-on approach towards development and delivery activities.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Experience leading DevOps teams
• Worked within a Databricks platform including workflows, pipeline monitoring and optimisation
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark and SQL
• Experience with modern data warehousing platforms
• Tableau and PowerBI experience
