A global multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Technical Director to join its Auckland team. This is a senior appointment for someone who wants to lead the country's most significant building projects, hold real client relationships, and help shape the growth of a highly capable team.

This is work at the top end of the market. The team delivers some of New Zealand's biggest and most structurally complex buildings, including major new developments, high-rise and large-scale commercial projects, and significant existing building upgrades.

What you'll do

• Lead the delivery of large and complex structural projects from concept through to completion
• Provide technical direction on structurally demanding buildings
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across the Auckland market
• Contribute to repeat business, new opportunities and the continued growth of the team
• Take ownership of project outcomes, including quality, programme, commercial performance and delivery
• Work collaboratively with clients, consultants and project partners to solve difficult structural problems
• Mentor and support developing engineers, building capability across the team
