We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our small and collaborative team in Hamilton.

You will work across a range of residential, industrial, and commercial projects, providing sound engineering judgement, practical design solutions, and high-quality delivery for our clients. Working closely with our clients and project stakeholders, you will take ownership of project outcomes and contribute to a strong culture of technical excellence and client satisfaction.

About The Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of structural projects across residential, commercial and industrial sectors in the region, providing technical expertise from concept through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Leading and delivering structural design work across a range of projects
• Providing technical input on residential, industrial, and commercial designs
• Working closely with clients to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions
• Supporting, mentoring and reviewing the work of other engineers where appropriate
• Contributing to project planning, design coordination, and delivery outcomesUndertaking site investigations and technical assessments

About You

We’re looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with 8–10+ years’ experience in New Zealand, with strong technical capability in structural design.

• Strong experience in residential, commercial and/or industrial structural engineering
• Solid understanding of seismic design and NZ Building Code requirements
• CPEng preferred, but not essential
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to build trusted relationships
• Practical, solutions focused engineering approach
• Good project delivery experience from concept through to completion
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
