Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day technical support to the business.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, animal health, and welfare programmes.
• Lead and contribute to technical investigations, corrective actions, and CI initiatives.
• Coordinate calibration, validation, and verification activities.
• Support internal audits, regulatory requirements, and certification processes.
• Deliver training on food safety, allergen, and quality to site teams.
• Analyse data, prepare reports, and contribute to risk assessment activities.
• Build strong relationships with operations, auditors, customers, and certifying bodies.

We're looking for a proactive and relationship-focused Technical Coordinator to join our New Plymouth team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role plays a critical part in ensuring our food safety, quality, animal welfare, and compliance systems are operating effectively and meeting both regulatory and customer requirements.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with Operations, Product Development, auditors, and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and foster a strong food safety and quality culture across the site.

What you'll be doing

• Providing day-to-day technical support to the business
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, animal health, and welfare programmes
• Leading and contributing to technical investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinating calibration, validation, and verification activities
• Supporting internal audits, regulatory requirements, and certification processes
• Delivering food safety, allergen, and quality-related training to site teams
• Analysing data, preparing reports, and contributing to risk assessment activities
• Building strong relationships with operational teams, auditors, customers, and certifying bodies

What you'll bring

• A relevant tertiary qualification and/or at least 2 years' experience in a technical, quality, or food safety environment (preferred but not essential), or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems, auditing, microbiology, or food technology
• Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to influence and build effective relationships across all levels of a business
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for maintaining high standards
