Job summary

Tegel Foods Ltd in New Plymouth is seeking a proactive Technical Coordinator to support food safety, quality systems and regulatory compliance across the site. You will work with Operations, Product Development and auditors to uphold high standards and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years in a technical/quality environment. A strong stakeholder network and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food safety, quality systems, auditing, microbiology or food technology.
• Excellent analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of a business.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to the business.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, animal health and welfare programmes.
• Lead investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate calibration, validation and verification activities.
