Job summary

Harvey Norman Stores (NZ) Pty is seeking a Technical Customer Support Specialist in Timaru to deliver hands-on software and hardware support both in-store and at customers' homes. You will grow Tech2Home services while developing your technical capability in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service, and a full NZ driver's licence. Weekend and public holiday work is expected as part of a 7-day roster.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of computers and related products.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Full, clean NZ Driver's Licence.
• Retail experience is desirable.
• IT certifications or qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
• Install and support hardware and software solutions in TechBay and customer homes.
• Drive sales of Tech2Home services with the sales and tech teams.
• Process returns and faulty products for repair, replacement or credit.
• Liaise with suppliers and repair agents to resolve issues promptly.
• Support cashiering and general sales duties as required.
• Work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
