Mitre 10 Waikato is seeking a hands-on Garden Centre team member. This part-time role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, expert plant recommendations, and maintaining attractive display standards.

The position suits someone passionate about gardening and outdoor living, with a willingness to learn and grow within a retail environment. You will help customers choose plants and products, manage stock, and support other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Passion for gardening and outdoor living.

• Previous retail experience advantageous.
• Experience with green and dry garden goods preferred.
• Able to work as part of a team and independently.
• Roster includes Saturdays.
• Physically demanding role with lifting and outdoor work.
• Physically fit and able to lift and bend.

What We're Looking For

• A passion for gardening, plants, and outdoor living
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Previous retail experience is advantageous
• Experience with green and dry garden goods is preferred but not essential
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
• Availability to work a roster that includes Saturdays
• This is a physically demanding role that involves regular lifting, moving stock, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Being physically fit and able to lift and bend regularly

Location: Waikato, Rest of Waikato, Mitre 10 MEGA Te Awamutu

Part -Time Position Working Fridays 8am to 4pm and Saturdays 8am to 5pm
