Tauranga Intermediate is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as a Year 7–8 team leader. You will guide three kaiako in a flexible learning environment, shaping high-quality learning experiences for modern emerging adolescents.

The successful candidate will drive improvement, coach staff, and ensure Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles are central to practice, while supporting student wellbeing and academic outcomes in a collaborative school culture.

We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic leader to join our TIS team. This position is to lead a team of three additional kaiako, teaching in a Year 7 and 8 flexible learning environment, starting t erm 1, 2027.

We seek a leader of improvement. At Tauranga Intermediate the team leader is a leader of learning and culture, responsible for supporting and coaching a team of teachers to deliver high-impact, culturally sustaining teaching and learning. They are accountable for their team's academic outcomes and improvement. They are responsible for student wellbeing, staff development within their team, and ensuring the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi are central to the team’s practices. All team leaders are expertly supported by our collaborative senior leadership team.

Underpinning all learning experiences are the school’s values of manaakitia, whanaungatanga, ka taea, whakamanatia and pārekareka, ensuring the hauora of our ākonga is central to learning.
