Job summary

Myross Bush School, a well-resourced rural school 5 minutes from Invercargill, invites NZ registered teachers to join our dedicated team for a full-time, fixed-term role in the junior school (Years 1–8). Start date 28 January 2027; End date 14 December 2027 (project-based).

The successful applicant will work in teaching teams across the curriculum, engage with staff, students and whānau, and pursue professional development in structured literacy and mathematics as part of our innovative

Qualifications

  • NZ registered teacher status required.
  • Experience teaching Years 1–8 desired.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development in literacy and/or mathematics.

Responsibilities

  • Join our dedicated teaching team and teach across the curriculum.

Myross Bush School invites applications from NZ registered teachers to join our dedicated team. We are a well-resourced rural school situated 5 minutes from Invercargill.

We are looking for a passionate , enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our team. We operate in teaching teams who work closely together across the curriculum. The successful applicant will demonstrate initiative and a commitment to innovative practice.

A sense of humour and excellent relationship building skills as well as being able to successfully engage with staff, students and whānau are essential. We are seeking someone who has some practical experience of structured literacy/mathematics or is prepared to undertake and be involved in professional development in this area.
