Job summary

BestStart Waitangirua in Porirua is seeking a compassionate and proactive Teacher Aide for a 3-month fixed-term role, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will support tamariki with diverse learning needs, assist teachers, and help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment within our Waitangirua centre.

No ECE qualification is required, but experience with children under five and a genuine passion for supporting young learners are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support tamariki throughout their day, including learning experiences, routines, and play.
• Work alongside teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

• Contribute positively to our team culture and centre operations.
