Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children in Hamilton South is seeking qualified, registered social workers to join our team. This is a permanent full-time role focused on safeguarding tamariki and rangatahi, with an emphasis on assessments, intensive planning, and collaboration with families and communities.

Qualifikationen

• Full registration with NZ Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) or able to register.
• A social worker qualification recognised by the SWRB.
• Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices, knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific cultures.
• A full, clean, current driver’s licence.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated resilience, problem solving and flexibility.
• Strong PC and Microsoft Office Suite skills with excellent report writing skills.

Aufgaben

• Meet tamariki, rangatahi and whānau to assess needs and plan interventions.
• Formulate intensive intervention plans and support hui-ā-whānau and family group conferences.
• Partner with other agencies, community groups and local iwi to improve outcomes.
