Oranga Tamariki is seeking a qualified Social Worker for the Waikato Rural South team on a fixed-term basis until November 2027. The role focuses on safeguarding tamariki and rangatahi, conducting assessments and developing intervention plans with families and whānau.

Based in Hamilton, you will collaborate with iwi, community groups and other agencies to achieve better outcomes for children in need, with a starting salary range of NZD 81,206 to NZD 97,557 per year.

Qualifikationen

• Full registration with New Zealand's SWRB or eligible to register.
• SWRB-recognised social work qualification.
• Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices; knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' culture.
• A full, clean, current driver\\'s licence.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated resilience, problem solving techniques and flexibility.
• Strong PC and Microsoft Office Suite skills with excellent report writing skills.

Aufgaben

• Meet with tamariki, rangatahi and their family/whānau to listen and assess needs.
• Complete assessments of need and formulate intensive intervention plans.
• Participate in hui-ā-whānau, family group conferences and multi-agency partnerships.
• Collaborate with local iwi and community groups to improve outcomes for tamariki and rangatahi.
• Support the delivery of services in the Waikato Rural South team.
