IAG Insurance is seeking a Tactical Forecasting Analyst to join our New Zealand team. You will bridge strategic forecasting with day-to-day workforce planning, translating data into actionable insights that support staffing decisions and business outcomes.

The role offers permanent, full-time work based in Auckland or Christchurch, with opportunities to shape forecasting processes and collaborate with experienced professionals to deliver meaningful results.

Qualifications

• Background in workforce management, workforce planning, forecasting, reporting, analytics, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical capability with ability to interpret complex datasets and extract trends and insights.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across business areas.
• Advanced Excel skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical information into clear business insights.
• Curiosity, adaptability and continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes and outcomes.
• Exposure to automation, AI, SQL or Python is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain tactical forecasts to ensure adequate resources to meet customer demand.
• Analyze business trends, performance and changes to forecast future workforce needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand initiatives and events that influence demand.
• Translate data into insights and recommendations for workforce planning and decision-making.
• Work with Strategic Forecasters and Workforce Planning teams to improve forecast accuracy.
• Contribute to development, optimisation and automation of forecasting processes and tools.
