Job summary

MAS - Medical Assurance Society is seeking an experienced Systems Training Lead for a 12-month fixed term in either Auckland or Wellington. You will design and deliver engaging learning experiences to build confidence, capability and adoption across the business.

Lead the training program for a major transformation, creating workshops, e-learning and references while partnering with Change Managers, SMEs and Delivery teams to ensure successful adoption and measured outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience delivering training for system implementations or large-scale change.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate complex system changes into practical learning.
  • Solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a training strategy aligned to programme milestones and business readiness.
  • Design practical, role-based training for new systems and processes.
  • Create engaging learning materials including workshops, job aids, e-learning and guides.
  • Facilitate training sessions both virtually and in person across the organisation.
  • Establish train-the-trainer networks and support champions.
  • Partner with leaders and delivery teams to support adoption and monitor effectiveness.

About the Role

Lead the learning behind one of MAS's biggest transformation programmes. We're looking for an experienced Systems Training Lead (on a 12 month fixed term basis) to help bring that change to life by designing and delivering engaging learning experiences that build confidence, capability and adoption across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact as part of a significant business transformation while working alongside change, delivery, technology and business teams. This role can be based in either our Auckland or Wellington Office.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and delivering a comprehensive training strategy aligned to programme milestones and business readiness needs
  • Designing practical, role-based training for new systems and processes
  • Creating engaging learning materials, including workshops, job aids, e-learning and quick reference guides
  • Facilitating training sessions across the organisation, both virtually and in person
  • Establishing and supporting a train-the-trainer and champion network
  • Partnering with business leaders, SMEs, Change Managers and Delivery teams to support successful adoptionMonitoring training effectiveness and continuously improving learning solutions based on feedback and outcomes
Qualifications

Extensive experience delivering training for system implementations, transformation programmes or large-scale business change initiatives.

Required Skills
  • Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience designing learning solutions using a variety of formats and tools
  • A solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • The ability to translate complex system changes into practical, user-friendly learning experiences
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working within insurance, financial services or similar regulated environments would be highly regarded
  • Exposure to platforms such as Duck Creek, Smart COMM, CRM or policy administration systems is an advantage
