Job summary

Jade Software Corporation is seeking an entry level Systems Administrator for a 6-month fixed term to support managed services and core systems. The role offers a 24/7 rotating roster and hands-on experience across our diverse environments.

You will provide first level technical support, monitor systems, and help resolve incidents promptly while collaborating with a dedicated Central Systems team. Apply to contribute to a dependable service experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain applications, infrastructure and alerts to ensure service availability.
  • Provide first level technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Triage and resolve incidents, coordinating with specialists as needed.
  • Perform system administration tasks: user accounts, passwords, deployments, updates and backups.
  • Support Jade's core systems and ensure service continuity and resilience.
  • Assist with database maintenance following procedures and customer requirements.
  • Monitor hardware, software and network components and respond to issues promptly.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers through responsive, reliable support.

What You'll Do:

As a Systems Administrator, you'll play a key role in keeping our managed services and core systems running smoothly for customers and internal teams. Working as part of our Central Systems team, you'll provide first level technical support, proactively monitor systems, and help ensure incidents and requests are resolved efficiently and professionally. You'll also need to be able to work in a 24/7 rotating roster supporting our managed services operation, helping deliver reliable, around-the-clock support to customers across a diverse range of systems and environments.

  • Monitor applications, infrastructure and service alerts to maintain the availability and performance of our managed services environments.
  • Provide first level technical support via phone, email and ticketing systems, troubleshooting issues and escalating when required.
  • Manage customer requests and incidents from initial triage through to resolution, coordinating with specialist support teams where needed.
  • Perform system administration activities including user account management, password resets, software deployments, updates and backups.
  • Support the day-to-day operation of Jade's core systems, helping to maintain service continuity and operational resilience.
  • Assist with database maintenance activities, following established procedures and customer requirements.
  • Monitor hardware, software and network components, responding promptly to issues and minimising disruption to customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers by delivering responsive, reliable and customer-focused support.

About You

You're a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and delivering dependable support in a fast-paced environment. You take ownership of your work, communicate effectively and remain calm under pressure when dealing with technical issues or competing priorities.

You'll bring:

  • A relevant IT qualification (minimum Level 5) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and associated administration tools.
  • Experience providing technical support, service desk or systems administration services.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences.
  • A strong customer service mindset and a genuine desire to help people succeed.
  • The ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple tasks and follow issues through to completion.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented processes and procedures.
  • A proactive, adaptable and resilient approach to work, with a willingness to learn and contribute wherever needed.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

It would be advantageous if you also have experience with Linux environments, networking technologies, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
