Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure professional to ensure ICT services run reliably and to lead project-based work in a large global environment. You'll monitor real-time performance, incident management, and capacity planning to meet service levels.

You will collaborate with teams, drive improvements, and contribute to a security-minded design approach across infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Microsoft technologies in a large business environment.
• Experience managing Data Centres for performance and capacity.
• Backup & Recovery knowledge – preferably in Veeam Suite.
• A security mindset that applies to any of your design and implementation of infrastructure.

The Role

You will be working within the Infrastructure team resolving complex technical issues and ensuring ICT services are continually running reliably and meeting service level expectations. You will also be involved in leading and implementing project based work in a large global environment.

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for providing real time assurance that business applications and infrastructure are working correctly. You'll have the opportunity to make the most of your incident and problem management skills and your eye for improvement to identify gaps and changing needs around capacity and performance.

We'll expect you to have:

• Experience managing Data Centres for performance and capacity particularly in the areas of administration, maintenance and continuous improvement.
• 5+ years experience in Microsoft technologies in a large business environment – Active Directory, Windows Cluster, File System, DNS, and DHCP etc.
• Backup & Recovery knowledge – preferably in Veeam Suite.
• A security mindset that applies to any of your design and implementation of infrastructure

It's great, but not required to have:

• Exposure to SAP on VMWare
• Experience with administrating Microsoft SQL server

• Customer focused with an eye for detail and the ability to identifying gaps and propose solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and recognise the importance of documentation.
