Job summary

The New Zealand Parliament's Parliamentary Service Finance team is seeking a Systems Accountant on a 9-month fixed-term basis to support the election programme, helping plan and deliver this important mahi.

In this role you will own the FMIS administration, lead upgrades, develop finance reports and dashboards, train users, and collaborate with Payroll, Treasury and IT to improve processes in a busy public sector environment.

Qualifications

• CA qualification or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Strong FMIS administration and systems accounting experience, ideally within TechnologyOne Ci Anywhere or a similar platform.
• Experience managing system configuration, user access, testing, upgrades and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day FMIS administration, configuration and maintenance.
• Lead testing, implementation and adoption of system upgrades and new functionality.
• Maintain user access, security profiles, chart structures and finance system controls.
• Develop meaningful financial reports, dashboards and analytical tools.
• Provide training, guidance, documentation and system advice to users.
• Manage system interfaces and dependencies with payroll, Treasury and other systems.
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and improve user experience.
• Contribute to election-related system changes including budgets and forecasting.
