Job summary

Alexandra Hospital is seeking an Operating Theatre Technician to support the surgical team and ensure a safe, clean OT environment. You will help prepare the operating room, check equipment, assist with patient transfer and positioning, and support nurses and surgeons during procedures.

Required WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (OT) or relevant experience as an OT Technician, with good interpersonal and communication skills and a proactive approach to learning and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check suction and diathermy machines for cleanliness and function.
• Check operating lights for clarity and functioning.
• Prepare the operating room and accessories for each patient.
• Assist in transferring and positioning the patient.
• Support the surgical team during tourniquet application and procedures.
