Job description

About the Role

Gisborne Hospital, part of Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora), operates three main theatres, a procedure room, PACU and a day of surgery unit. As a member of the small, dedicated Anaesthetic Technician team you will support acute and elective theatre lists, respond to ED trauma calls, assist in ICU and radiology, and help develop trainee technicians in a dynamic rural environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support acute and elective theatre lists
  • Respond to ED trauma calls
  • Provide essential support in ICU and Radiology
  • Contribute to the development of Anaesthetic Technician trainees
Requirements
  • Qualified Anaesthetic Technician with NZ practising certification
  • Registered with the NZ Medical Sciences Council
  • Registered with NZSATS (desired)
  • Recent experience within the NZ Health Sector (desired)
  • New Zealand resident or eligible to work in New Zealand
