About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Anaesthetic Technician or Anaesthetic Nurse who is ready to take the next step in their career. Multiple FTE positions are available in the Level 8 Theatres at Auckland City Hospital. You will join a diverse, high-performing, and supportive team of health professionals who share a passion for excellence and are committed to helping you succeed. As a Anaesthetic Technician within Level 8 Operating Theatres, you will be providing a variety of complex but rewarding patient care in a 24/7 service for multiple specialities. This includes but is not limited to general surgery, urology, vascular, orthopaedics, trauma, liver and renal transplant, HIPEC, interventional radiology, obstetrics, neurosurgery adult and paediatric surgical care. About the Team/Service/ Location

Level 8 Adult and Emergency Operating Theatres in Auckland City Hospital is one of our Operating Theatre departments in the Ara Arohanua directorate (Surgical and Perioperative Services) at Te Toka Tumai. We are based at Auckland.

About you

You will be a qualified health professional with a relevant qualification e.g experienced Anaesthetic Technician or Anaesthetic Nurse and will meet the following:

Currently hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand or current APC with Nursing Council of NZ.

Be flexible and resilient.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Be an excellent communicator and have high quality interactions with the MDT and staff.

Be proactive at identifying issues, escalation and problem solving these.

Be passionate, driven and focused on quality and excellence.

Have a proven track record for setting high ethical and professional standards.

Demonstrate an understanding of and able to apply the Treaty of Waitangi principles of Tino Rangatiratanga, Equity, Active protection, partnership, and Options for our communities.
