Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for a qualified Registered Sterile Technician to join the Sterile Sciences Department at Hutt Hospital. This 0.6 FTE (48 hours per fortnight), permanent role involves working in sterile reprocessing and endoscopy reprocessing units with rostered, rotating shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Hold as a minimum the certificate in Sterilising Technology Level 4 or equivalent.
• Ideally have GENCA Endoscopy qualifications in addition to the above.
• Full training can be given in Endoscopy requirements.
• Applicants must be fit and healthy as some heavy lifting may be involved.

Responsibilities

• Work in the sterile reprocessing unit and endoscopy reprocessing unit.
• Rostered and rotating shifts with weekends as rostered.
