Job summary

INNOVATIVE CONSTRUCTION & TRADING LIMITED is seeking two carpenters to join our busy team and deliver high-quality service to our customers. This is a full-time position with a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, cutting and fitting timber, and installing frames, fascia, cladding, and roofing components while maintaining health and safety standards. You will work within a collaborative team in a construction setting.

Qualifications

• At least two years of work experience in construction, or a certificate in a construction-related area can replace the work experience requirement.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work as a team member.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.

• Review drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation methods.
• Order and select timber and building materials, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
• Prepare layouts, cut materials to size, and assemble components using nails, screws, and adhesives.
• Construct and install framework, roof structures, sub-flooring, and floorboards, ensuring structural accuracy.
• Install fascia panels, roof sheathing, exterior cladding, and door and window frames.
• Assemble and fit pre-cut wood to form structures and fittings for installation.
• Cut and shape wood joints for strong and secure connections.
• Repair and modify existing fixtures and fittings.
• Adhere to health and safety standards.
• Other reasonable tasks required by management.
