Job summary

INNOVATIVE CONSTRUCTION & TRADING LIMITED is seeking two carpenters to join our busy team in New Zealand. This full-time role offers a minimum of 30 hours per week and involves reading drawings, selecting materials, cutting and assembling timber, and installing roof structures and framing.

You will work with a team, maintain safety standards, and handle tasks from detailing to installation. Two years of construction experience or a relevant certificate is required, along with good communication,

Qualifications

Minimum two years of construction experience, or a related certificate.
Good communication and coordination to work as a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Review drawings and specs to determine materials, dimensions, and install methods.
Order and select timber and materials with accuracy.
Prepare layouts, cut materials, and assemble components using nails and screws.
Construct and install framing, roofs, sub-flooring, and floors.
Install fascia, roof sheathing, exterior cladding, and frames.
Assemble and fit pre-cut wood for structures and fittings.
Cut and shape wood joints for secure connections.
Repair and modify fixtures and fittings.
Adhere to health and safety standards.
Perform other reasonable tasks as required.
