Job summary

tlc4u2 Ltd in Whakapara, Northland, is seeking compassionate Support Workers for two permanent part‑time roles with fixed rosters. Expect 24 hours/week or 36 hours/week across day or sleepover shifts.

Applicants should have NZ work rights, a valid NZ driver’s license, and a Health & Wellbeing qualification or equivalent. Training and ongoing development are provided, with strong local support networks.

Qualifications

  • Live in Whakapara or Northern Whangarei area (Kamo, Hikurangi etc.).
  • Full New Zealand driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Experience in support work, caregiving, or healthcare with clients who have complex needs.
  • Level 2, 3, or 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Support clients with daily routines and household tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation.
  • Assist with appointments, errands, and community activities.
  • Monitor and report changes in health and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow care plans.
  • Build respectful, trusting relationships with clients.

About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

We have two permanent part‑time positions available, with consistent rostered hours:

OPTION ONE

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • 24 hours per week

OPTION TWO

  • Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday – 9:00pm to 9:00am (sleepovers)
  • 36 hours per week

These roles could be a great fit if you’re an experienced Support Worker looking for a new team, have a background in caregiving or healthcare, are returning to the workforce, or are a healthcare or medical student looking for meaningful part‑time hours.

What You’ll Do | Ngā Mahi
  • Provide full personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility support

About You | Ko Wai Koe

You will be someone who:

You will also need:

  • To live within the Whakapara or Northern Whangarei area - Kamo, Hikurangi etc(a requirement of the role)
  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence and reliable vehicle - experience driving a mobility vehicle would be a bonus.
  • Previous experience in support work, caregiving, or healthcare - ideally with clients who have complex needs.
  • A Level 2, 3, or 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or equivalent
  • Valid NZ work rights(we are not able to provide visa sponsorship for this role)
