Job summary

Laura Fergusson Brain Injury Trust invites compassionate carers to join a small team providing in-home support for a client in Swannanoa. The role includes personal care, light household duties, and pet considerations, with a 2-week rotating roster.

You will help the client access community, foster independence, and support quality of life after spinal cord injury in a friendly, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including bowel and bladder support in client home.
  • Assist with household tasks, laundry and light chores as required.
  • Care for client’s pets and manage home environment.
  • Support client to access community and pursue independence and inclusion.

Job description

Permanent Part Time position avaliable: 16 Hours a fortnight (2-week rotating roster)

Week 1:

Monday 8am-12pm

Tuesday 8am-1pm

Week 2:

Saturday 8am-11am

Sunday 8am-1pm

You will be supporting a client in their own home based in Swannanoa. You will be part of a small team responsible for all aspects of the client's personal cares including but not limited to Bowel, Bladder cares. Support staff will also be responsible for household management which will include housework and completing laundry. The client has a cat and a dog on the property, so staff will also need to be good with animals.

You will help empower this client to access their community, and achieve independence, inclusion, and quality of life after a spinal cord injury. Our client is seeking an exceptional team with the opportunity for a genuine and authentic connection to develop over time.
