Job summary

New Zealand Health Group – Rotorua is seeking an energetic Team Leader for our Residential Houses in Rotorua. You will lead a team to support residents to live as independently as possible while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment that encourages confidence, friendships, and community involvement.

The role requires flexibility to cover morning, afternoon, and evening shifts across the week. Competitive hourly pay and NZQA Health & Wellbeing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Relevant caregiving experience, including personal cares.
• Ideally leadership experience, or a genuine desire to develop your leadership expertise.
• A warm, calm, and friendly personality with a passion for supporting people to achieve positive outcomes for themselves.
• A full NZ Driver License and ability to transport passengers confidently and safely in our disability vans.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to support residents to live independently.
• Provide a safe environment and promote wellbeing.
• Assist with daily tasks including meals, personal care, and community activities.

We are looking for a energetic and motivated Team Leader for our Residential Houses in Rotorua. You will lead a team in supporting our people to live as independently as possible whilst also providing a safe environment where they can develop confidence, build friendships, and interact within the community.

There will be a mixture of morning, afternoon, and evening shifts spanning across the week, so having the flexibility to support your team across a variety of shifts is a key part of this role.

• Activitiesat home and in the community that are meaningful and purposeful to the people, including maximizing independence andinvolvingWhānau.
• Household duties including meal preparation, daily care routines, and personal cares.
• Working together with a team to implement personal support plans consistently, with effective and positive teamwork and communication.
• Providing people with a warm and nurturing environment to live in, which is inclusive of ideas and feedback so that each person is supported towards their personal goals.
