Job summary

New Zealand Health Group – Auckland, North Island is seeking energetic and motivated people to support clients in residential services in Auckland. You will assist rangitahi and tamariki to live independently in the community, working as part of a team to deliver consistent care and education access.

The role requires a passion for empowering youth, understanding of intellectual disability and autism, and a full NZ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• A desire to support our rangitahi / young people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
• Previous experience working with young people/rangitahi.
• An understanding of Intellectual Disability and Autism.
• Creativity 'out of the box' thinking and a team player.
• A full NZ driver's license.

We are looking for permanent full time Support Workers to work alongside, coach and mentor rangatahi and tamariki in our Intensive Support Services in Auckland. Orwea

Our Support Workers assist rangitahi and tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community. You will:

• Work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach.
• Support tamariki or rangitahi to go to school or access education.
• Observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person
• Support rangitahi/young people to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes.
