Job summary

HealthCare NZ in Nelson is seeking casual Support Workers for the holiday season to assist clients with daily living and personal goals within their homes and community.

You will follow care plans, provide practical and emotional support, help with meal prep, outings, medication administration, and personal cares, while contributing to the wellbeing of local families.

• Nov to Feb availability is a must.

• Healthcare qualifications are advantageous.
• Full NZ drivers' licence and reliable transport preferred.

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Giving medication
• Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
• Home management
