Job summary

HealthCare NZ in Dunedin is seeking Casual Support Workers to assist clients with daily living goals during the holiday period. The role offers in-home healthcare exposure across aged care, disability, mental health, and rehabilitation, with NZQA-funded training pathways and flexible hours during peak

• Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Purely advantageous: healthcare qualifications and NZ driver’s licence.

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Giving medication
• Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
• Home management
