Job summary

HealthCare NZ in Matamata is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help clients achieve goals and enjoy daily life through practical and emotional support.

You will assist with meals, outings, medication support, personal care, and mobility tasks, working with a dedicated team in a community-based setting. A positive attitude and reliable transport are essential.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and genuine desire to help others.
• Previous healthcare or caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and flexibility for weekends.
• Healthcare qualifications are advantageous.
• Full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation.
• Community outings and integration.
• Medication support.
• Personal care (showering, toileting, etc.).
• Bowel cares, manual handling, and hoist transfers.
