Job summary

Geneva Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our in-home and community-based services in Lower Hutt, NZ. You’ll assist clients with daily living, outings, meal prep, and personal care, promoting independence and wellbeing.

Ideal candidates bring a positive attitude, good communication skills, and flexibility including alternate weekends. A NZ driver's licence is preferred. Training and supervision are provided.

  • Previous healthcare or caregiving experience preferred.

What You’ll Do:

As aSupport Worker, you’ll help clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives through practical and emotional support. Tasks may include:

  • Meal preparation
  • Community outings and integration
  • Medication support
  • Personal care (showering, toileting, etc.)
  • Manual handling, and hoist transfers

What We’re Looking For:

  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others
  • Previous healthcare or caregiving experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Great communication skills and flexibility to work alternate weekends
  • Healthcare qualifications (advantageous)
  • Full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport (most roles)
