Job summary

IDEA Services Ltd is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower adults with intellectual disabilities to build confidence, independence, and personal goals across Porirua, Tawa, Paraparaumu and Levin. You will support learning, community engagement, and employment pursuits, contributing to meaningful everyday outcomes.

No prior health/disability sector experience is required; full training is provided within a large, purpose-driven organisation that values compassionate care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Availability to support our 24/7 services - schedules include a range of daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
• Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
• Full NZ driver's license is required.

No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude is highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided to individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
